CONSPIRE 2021

FROM THE BSFA AND SF FOUNDATION

What is ConSpire?

ConSpire 2021 is a one-day mini-convention taking place online on 26 June, from 9:45am UK time, jointly organised by the British Science Fiction Association and the Science Fiction Foundation. The BSFA and Foundation SF will be holding their AGMs as part of the programme, and there will also be opportunities to come together to do some writing, listen to panels, and ask questions of our Guests of Honour. For those of you who aren't members of the BSFA or Foundation, you can either join, or sign up for free tickets (see REGISTER for more details).

Having Problems Attending?

If you are a BSFA member,  you should have received an email on 21 June, containing your attendance links. If you can't find it, check your spam folder, or try doing a keyword search for ConSpire.

If you are a SFF member, please RSVP to your Chair Graham Sleight, ideally before 22 June. You should have received something in the post as a reminder. You'll be sent the links three or four days in advance.

If you should have received links but they're definitely not there, get touch with the relevant membership officer: membership@bsfa.co.uk or sff@beccon.org. It may be that your membership has lapsed, or the automated email system doesn't like your address for some reason.

If you have signed up for a specific session via EventBrite, you should be automatically emailed a link on the day of the session, shortly before it begins.

If you're having difficulty getting in on the day, the best thing to do is to email both Jo and Yen, and we'll do our best!

Can't Attend But Want to Vote?

If you are a BSFA member, you can contact membership@bsfa.co.uk up to 48 hours before the AGM in relation to any of the motions. The AGM agenda can be found here.

Is this the Right Place?!

One or two of the sessions occur one after the other in the same Zoom call. So if you arrive early, you may get to witness the end of the previous session, or a thrilling tech check. Almost like being at a real live con ...

Getting Involved

We're not looking for any more volunteers this time, but if you're interested in getting involved next year (or getting involved with the BSFA, SFF, or Glasgow in 2024), drop Jo a message and he can point you to the right person.
